Peter collapsed yesterday and he was taken to hospital. Thank goodness Joe was with him. Apparently his heart was racing and he was ill all over the floor. Which...thank you Joe, for cleaning that up. Abby said his body was trying to fight infection and the antibiotics weren't working. They switched him onto something different and today he's doing so much better!
He's at home again, and sitting up. He ate something, which is wonderful. And he's making his macabre jokes, which means he's feeling better too. I hope he gets over this quickly. He's still coughing a lot and he doesn't want to get out of bed, which marvel at the concept, eh? I'm still so thankful for the improvement. |

I can't say being here isn't strange. But I'm home. And it's nice. Peter and our children are being incredible to me. And my parents stop by every day because I think they're quite worried I'll slip again. And I'm thankful for that because it means I can't.
I have to apologise for all the hurt I caused. I find myself at an impasse as to how to make it up to everyone. I just hope I haven't ruined my relationship with anyone. Thankfully, the one I was trying to ruin, Peter wouldn't let me. If that is as lucky as I get, I'm still the luckiest woman in the world. |

Today I went to get my hair trimmed and my hairdresser was appalled because it had all been cut off. Yes, I haven't been there since I had it taken away, but I haven't needed to. Anyway, he said and I quote, "who did you let do this to you?!"
What was I supposed to say? My dead brother who has jealousy issues? I just said I shaved it because my husband had brain cancer and he didn't ask any more questions.

Valencia is beautiful! We're gearing up for Christmas and Anna's birthday, as well as Lydia's friend who is going to join us on Saturday. It's quite loud and wonderful here. Though Thomas and Lauren are passed around so often I hardly see them!! Lydia and I went out yesterday for a girl's night and we went shopping and then to the movies. We went to see the James Bond film, as Lydia is quite fond. She said he reminds her of Uncle Thomas, which I thought was adorable!

Are you coming with us, David? Or are you staying? Isabella was going anyway, for Christmas. It's your choice. Christina is staying with Liz and Emma, though if things get bad, they'll head to Emma's old house outside of London. She'll be safe and so will William.
Peter says if you stay, you can stay with him and help him figure things out, but if you choose to go, he won't blame you. |

Peter's been taken to hospital. He collapsed in the kitchen. Poor Tasha found him there. Apparently the reason he's been seeming worse lately, is because when he nearly drowned in the bath, that seizure caused a bleed. They didn't catch it when they scanned him because it was small. But you know Peter and his visions. He has them so often and every seizure made it worse. It wasn't the tumour at all. The reason he seemed better for the past few days is that he hadn't had a vision and the bleeding was tapering off. They say he had another seizure though, and it...well the bleeding got bad.
He's in surgery now. They're doing what they can.
It wasn't cancer. It was his stupid fucking visions. He refused to take those anti-convulsants because he wanted to have the visions to help people... Goddammit.
I'm at the hospital. Just waiting. |

Apparently we're having a Kemp family party today! Peter was feeling pretty good, so Kat came over, and with her came her brood including her parents! I took lots of pictures. I want to remember it.
I served dinner and Aunt Jane informed me she loved ethnic food. I'm ethnic. Apparently.

David needs me so I'm going to be staying with him for a little while. The kids are with me because Peter's sick and he doesn't need to be trying to take care of him and them at the same time.

My husband almost drowned in his bubble bath (I know...) because he had a seizure while bathing his troubles away. He's been having them more and more.

Peter started his radiation therapy and chemotherapy today. He's home now, but he has to go back every day this week for the radiation and if he gets too sick he'll have to stay there until they're finished with it. It's just six days of it, but it usually tires people right out. As for the chemo, he isn't feeling sick yet. That usually takes one or two days, so he's fine but sleepy and he keeps saying that he wants people to visit and talk and he wants to do all these things... I worry about him. I think he's trying too hard to be okay. He's had a visitor from Melk this week too, which isn't exactly making me feel reassured.
And now comes the part where I realise I haven't seen Isabella in days and I didn't notice because I was preoccupied with Peter and six kids and I'm a terrible cousin and now she's not answering her phone. Has anyone seen Izzy? |

Peter is in such a good mood when he's on morphine... He actually pinched my arse in front of Mama and Dad! Mama whacked him with her newspaper and said all sorts of things in Spanish, and Dad gave him a Terribly Proud Look. And he just snickered. Oh, dearest Peter.
Our houseguests seem to be dispersing as well. One still remains, but Saul and the other one have gone. Saul promising to return soon when things aren't so hectic.
I had a lovely day yesterday with Isabella and I think I can believe, at this juncture, that things seem hopeful.
I can't believe my little boy is nine... He's so grown up! |

My hair's long enough to get 'styled' now, but I hate it. With a passion. I miss my long hair. Argh, stupid AmarisBrian thinking she/he's a hairstylist. I suppose I can just continue to wear the scarf my darling Caleb got for me. Thank goodness my hair grows quickly.

William got that shirt made. He's very amusing, my William. He;s still here though, which is a worry. I'm not sure why, but he's being very brave about it. Not showing any pain or distress. He's just my William. Peter keeps offering to hit him with things to help send him away, but thankfully William knows Peter is only kidding. Mostly.
We have another visitor as well. Saul. Poor thing's been through a lot it sounds like. He'll be taken care of. I think I saw Katherine making eyes at him... |

That last picture is of the beach in front of Aunt Rosalia's house. Lydia and Marco are out there now! They are so darling. And Anna and Caleb are going to join them after they have a nap. The fight was so early and they just conked out. As did Lauren and Thomas.
But the children and I arrived safely, and everything is wonderful. Already I'm being pampered and cared for and I'm feeling utterly relaxed.

Lydia, Anna, Mirela and I took Peter shopping yesterday. He was very patient as we tried on...probably everything in the shops we visited and had a generally girly time. Mirela is so beautiful. She's just such a sweet girl. We sugared her up with smoothies too and she and Lydia and Anna giggled for hours, which was slightly frightening in a gorgeous way.
Peter is mostly forgiven for having a clandestine bottle of whiskey in his drawer in his office. This is the last punishment. ( Photos )
